At the horizon of a 10-solar-mass black hole, tidal acceleration reaches 1.8×10⁸ m/s². The difference in gravity between your head and feet stretches you. This is spaghettification.
At M87* (6.5 billion solar masses) the tidal force at the horizon is 4.1×10⁻¹⁰ m/s². You could not detect the moment you crossed.
Radius scales with mass, but tidal force falls with the cube of radius. Bigger therefore means gentler.
At M87* you would have about 28 hours before the singularity. Alive the whole time — with no way out.
